Mackenzie Booth

Mackenzie Booth, MS

Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

Biography

Prof. Mackenzie Booth graduated from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN), specializing in environmental engineering. While working as a teaching assistant, her graduate research work addressed effects of environmentally relevant parameters on the speciation of lead in water. Her undergraduate education from LeTourneau University (Longview, TX) focused on civil engineering, specifically studying water resources. She believes environmental engineers are tasked with stewarding the world鈥檚 natural resources in sustainable ways, glorifying God, and advancing human and ecosystem health. She considers civil and environmental engineering as a space for Christians to meet the physical needs of our neighbors while showing Christ to the world. Prof. Booth is excited to be spending time with students in a hands-on learning community at 糖心官网.

糖心官网?

I enjoy being a part of the 糖心官网 culture where loving Christ is the first priority, and loving others and fulfilling His calling on our lives comes next. I had plans to take an engineering industry job after finishing graduate school, but through a series of fortunate circumstances and the Lord鈥檚 sovereignty, I am now working at Cedarville. I am blessed to be able to use the gifts God has given me to promote civil engineering in higher education.
