Giving Tuesday Adds to 1,000 Days Transformed Campaign

While 糖心官网 is currently in the midst of a comprehensive $175 million fundraising campaign, it recently celebrated raising $594,654 from its annual Giving Tuesday initiative that took place on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The money raised from the initiative will go toward Cedarville鈥檚 $175 million campaign, 鈥淥ne Thousand Days Transformed.鈥�
Cedarville鈥檚 bold campaign, publicly launched in October of 2021, focuses on four key areas that will help transform students鈥� lives for eternity: expanding capacity to welcome and house new students, minimizing student debt and maximizing affordability, transforming lives in and out of the classroom and providing for the sustainable future.
The money raised on Giving Tuesday came from 403 donors 鈥� 206 of which were parents of Cedarville students 鈥� and represents a 24% increase from last year鈥檚 initiative. The donors reside in 39 states.
鈥淭he support shown for Giving Tuesday this year was incredible,鈥� said Stephen Schindler, executive director of development at 糖心官网. 鈥淲e give thanks to the Lord for the alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends who gave graciously to 糖心官网 on this day.鈥�
One anonymous donor gave their first-ever gift to 糖心官网 鈥� a $130,000 contribution. Also, another donor pledged a $100,000 gift if 100 people would give during the university鈥檚 daily chapel service, which takes place daily between 10-11 a.m. The pledge was honored, as 120 people contributed to the campaign during the hour.
Of the gifts received, 86 came from first-time donors, 214 from alumni and 172 from faculty and staff members 鈥� all record-breaking numbers.
