The world of education sees generations of teachers come and go. But those who help the next generation rise into the spotlight are often forgotten. One of these unsung heroes is Chris Campbell, the recipient of 糖心官网鈥檚 2025 Excellent Educator of the Year honor. 

The Excellent Educator of the Year award recognizes a teacher who has welcomed and guided Cedarville鈥檚 education students into their schools and classrooms. The nominees must also exhibit a desire to prepare excellent educators with a servant鈥檚 heart and mind. 

Campbell, a 1997 Cedarville graduate, has a long history of investing in the lives of students. Since 1998, Campbell, principal at Clark-Shawnee Elementary School in Springfield, Ohio, has worked as a teacher and principal in schools across southwestern Ohio.  

Early in his teaching career, Campbell learned the importance of mentorship. He enjoys mentoring new teachers and he has long welcomed Cedarville鈥檚 student teachers inside his classrooms.  

鈥淐hris Campbell is incredibly encouraging and works well with our students,鈥� said Dr. Lori Ferguson, assistant dean of Cedarville鈥檚 School of Education and Social Work. 鈥淥ur students learn from his experiences and commitment to demonstrating his faith even in the public school system. Everyone speaks so highly of him.鈥�  

Campbell was presented his award at the School of Education Teacher Education Program graduation celebration in May. Upon receiving the award, Campbell gave the graduating students a charge to make a difference in the lives of their students while also reflecting on his own life and reminding the graduates that while sometimes God鈥檚 plan is different from our own, His plans are always better.
