Flexibility is a key factor in the college selection process. As more students seek additional ways to earn an accredited degree without relocating, they are taking college classes in high school and online courses in college. 

Flexible, Biblically Integrated Online Degrees for Undergrads and Grads 

 is meeting this demand through its fully online degree programs for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students enrolled in Cedarville’s online programs engage in asynchronous, self-paced courses designed to uphold the academic rigor and biblical integration that define the university’s on-campus experience.  

New Fully Online Degrees Launching Fall 2026 

Beginning in fall 2026, Cedarville will offer three new fully online degree programs: bachelor's degrees in psychology and P-5 education (pre-K through fifth grade) and a dual-degree pathway from the recently announced BA in biblical and theological studies to an online master's degree in theological studies.  

“Offering online courses meets a growing global need,” said Dr. Bob Lutz, vice president for strategic initiatives at the university. “There’s a demand for excellent, biblically integrated education worldwide. We’re bringing Cedarville’s DNA — biblical integration, academic excellence — to students where they are.” 

Cedarville began offering online undergraduate education programs in 2025 with accounting, communication, finance, information technology management and management. Strong enrollment and student engagement prompted the university to expand online offerings into psychology, education and Bible.  

Online Teacher Preparation and Education Degree Options 

“Our online education program is designed for students who need flexibility without sacrificing quality,” said Dr. Stacey Bose, professor of education, who oversees the online initiatives in the education department. “We are thrilled that students who would like to attend Cedarville, but for one reason or another are not able to be on campus, will have the opportunity to pursue a teaching degree at ���Ĺ���.” 

Comprehensive Student Support for Online Learners 

Online students also have access to the same support services as on-campus students, including dedicated academic advisors, the writing center, The Cove, counseling services and career services. 

“These online programs allow students to receive excellent education without relocating,” said Dr. Trent Rogers, dean of the ���Ĺ��� School of Biblical and Theological Studies. “We are able to extend our mission of training students in the Scriptures for Christian life and ministry to students who otherwise might not have been able to enroll at Cedarville.” 

Leadership and Strategic Growth in Online Education 

On February 9, 2026, Cedarville appointed Dr. Mindy May Dickey to be the assistant dean of undergraduate online programs. Previously the associate vice president for student development and dean of students, Dickey returned to the university as a key leader for the future growth of Cedarville’s online offerings.  

“With an initial focus on key schools like business and education, Dr. Dickey will ensure academic excellence, mission alignment, and faculty collaboration,” said Lutz. “Through cross-campus collaboration, she will shape and expand Cedarville’s online student experience in alignment with the university’s vision.” 

Student Success Story: Balancing Olympic-Level Archery and an Online Degree 

The expansion of Cedarville’s online programs encouraged , a student from Boonville, Indiana, to earn her online undergraduate degree in accounting. An accomplished archer, online studies allow Fletcher to pursue two dreams at once — competing in archery at the Olympic level and earning a college degree from Cedarville.  

“Looking ahead, we’re still building,” said Lutz. “We’ll deepen and enrich existing programs while launching new degrees. Online is also a great incubator for new majors with a distinct Christian voice. Every online course will remain biblically grounded, and we’ll keep expanding discipling opportunities — through churches, virtual discipleship and other new, creative ways.”
