July 26, 2024 — Sports are Jeff Gilbert’s passion. What started as a hobby of cutting out sports stories from newspapers and magazines and crafting his own narrative for each story has blossomed into a thrilling career as the beat reporter for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and assistant professor of journalism at ���Ĺ���.

July 24, 2024 — Many Americans enjoy the services and convenience of the local pharmacies that fill their prescriptions and meet their medical needs, but the future abundance of pharmacies is unclear. In fact, “pharmacy deserts,” which are large areas with no pharmacy for communities to access, are becoming an increasing threat to public health. In an answer to this threat, Dr. Emmanuel Ayanjoke chose to pursue pharmacy ownership after completing his pharmacy fellowship in ���Ĺ���’s School of Pharmacy.

July 22, 2024 — Football is the name of the game. It may look different for the Columbus Crew, a major league soccer club, and Penn State’s Big Ten Nittany Lions, but these powerhouse teams have something in common — both are hosting ���Ĺ��� Master of Athletic Training (MAT) students for immersive clinical rotations.

July 19, 2024 — Growing up in the rural countryside near Lafayette, Indiana, Dr. Trent Rogers, the Dean of the School of Biblical and Theological Studies and Associate Professor of New Testament and Greek at ���Ĺ���, has always embraced the mindset of giving his best or not bothering at all.

July 17, 2024 — “Disciples in the Moonlight,” a faith-based action thriller that will be released in movie theaters nationwide on Wednesday, July 17, is breaking new ground in the Christian movie industry. The movie is a rare faith-based action thriller set in a dystopian future where the Bible has been banned in the United States for its offensiveness. The story was written by Josh Strychalski, a 1999 ���Ĺ��� graduate who majored in broadcast communication.

July 15, 2024 — Students at ���Ĺ��� spend approximately 1000 Days during their four years on campus. During this period, Dr. Thomas White, president, encourages each student to participate in a mission trip. Based on the feedback from other pharmacy students who had served in Guatemala on previous mission opportunities, Thomas Bonifield, a second-year pharmacy student, agreed to serve at a free, four-day clinic in Los Dolores, Guatemala. This experience transformed his perspective on medical care and spreading the gospel.

July 12, 2024 — How long would it take to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from the Canary Islands near Africa to Antigua in the Caribbean Sea? “Team Foar Brothers,” including Cedarville alumni Thomas '05, Trent '02, and Tim Hamilton along with their nephew, Ben Clark, did it in 37 days, 10 hours, and 55 minutes.

July 8, 2024 — Success begins with great ideas. Dr. Kary Oberbrunner, Berry Chair and assistant professor of entrepreneurship at ���Ĺ���, encourages his students to generate, pitch and pursue ideas. Gladys Cerrato, a senior marketing major, responded by proposing the translation of Oberbrunner’s book, “Day Job to Dream Job,” into Spanish to expand his international influence.

July 5, 2024 — People move, life stages change, interests shift, and friendships fade or slip away. However, every now and then, two individuals develop an unbreakable bond and grow closer despite the ups and downs of life. A prime example of such a friendship is that of ���Ĺ��� alumni Erika Weise and Carrie Holt, who are featured guests on the Cedarville Stories Podcast.

July 5, 2024 — Robert Rhodes ’16, worship pastor of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio, saved a video from his senior year of college and still watches it over eight years later. As he talked about it, the chills running through his body were almost palpable. “It gets me excited about what the Lord’s going to do when He calls us all home,” he said.

July 5, 2024 — For 40 years, Jim Cato ’83, Associate Vice President of Christian Ministries, has dedicated his life to music and ministry at ���Ĺ���. As he approached retirement this spring, Cato sat down with Cedarville Magazine to look back on his tenure.

July 5, 2024 — Like students in other artistic disciplines, music majors are often asked the question, “What do you want to do with your degree?" At Cedarville, the Department of Music and Worship answers: “What can't you do?"

July 5, 2024 — Home. A powerful word. When people find out I was born and raised in Texas, the first question they often ask is, “How did you get to Cedarville?” My answer is always the same: “The breath of God blew me here!”

July 5, 2024 — Soli Deo Gloria is a Latin phrase meaning “Glory to God alone.” Rooted in the Reformation, it flows from a dependence upon Scripture alone as our foundation for comprehending our salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for God’s glory alone.

July 3, 2024 — Navigating ongoing difficulties can feel isolating, but finding friends who willingly walk through these situations with us can ease the pain of everyday life. A pair of Cedarville alumni — Carrie Holt of Lewis Center, Ohio and Erika Weise, from Hilliard, Ohio — found themselves with similar challenges of caring for special needs children, and their common steps have led to an unbreakable bond.

July 2, 2024 — Seeing an opportunity to meet some needs in Dayton’s homeless community spurred ���Ĺ���’s Integrated Business Core (IBC) students to make an impact. The student business organization, through creating and selling its own merchandise, donated $6,300 to Target Dayton Ministries.

July 1, 2024 — ���Ĺ���’s School of Pharmacy continuously provides graduates with endless opportunities to impact the pharmacy world and use their degree to help find medical solutions for people in need. For 2018 alumni Dr. Hope Fonbah, the pharmacy program changed the trajectory of his career and provided life-changing opportunities. After being hired directly from Cedarville’s pharmacy program, Fonbah runs a clinical practice at the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation on a Navajo Reservation in Tuba City, Arizona.

June 28, 2024 — Embark on a daring odyssey with Thomas Hamilton on this weeks Cedarville Stories Podcast. Hamilton, along with two brothers and nephew Ben Clark, opt for a glorified rowboat as they seek to conquer the relentless forces of the Atlantic Ocean.

June 26, 2024 — Siblings share a bond for life and ���Ĺ��� students Deidra and Connor Hall of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, have only grown closer through their love of speech and debate. Both are members of Cedarville’s forensics team. Their affinity for forensics began in childhood when the brother and sister team began competing in elementary school. As young students, they performed well, but have come a long way since those early days.

June 25, 2024 — As defending champions in the American Society of Engineering Education’s (ASEE) Robotics Competition, ���Ĺ���’s team of engineering students will put its title on the line when it competes in the 2024 competition in Portland, Oregon. The event begins on Monday, June 24
